In June 2015, DAODAS received a five-year “Partnership for Success” grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The grant is funding a new project – Empowering Communities for Healthy Outcomes (ECHO) – that specifically addresses prescription drug abuse/misuse among ages 12 to 25 and impaired driving. The resulting increase in capacity, however, will benefit communities’ ability to address a wide range of local concerns.
