Who Should Attend
Prevention Specialists who have already fulfilled their 6-hour Prevention Ethics requirement.
Description
This training aims to provide a refresher for Prevention Specialists who have already fulfilled their 6-hour Prevention Ethics requirement but would benefit from reviewing and updating basic prevention ethics concepts. Emphasis will be placed on the principles of non-discrimination and competence in the Prevention Code of Ethics.
NOTE: This training meets the requirements of the SCAPPA Certification Commission for individuals seeking their 3-hour Prevention Ethics training for recertification purposes.
Objectives
- Review ethics in the field of prevention
- Describe the key elements of the Prevention Code of Ethics
- Apply the Ethical Decision-Making Model to a case study
