Job Responsibilities: Performs duties in the counseling and treatment of adults as assigned in the Beaufort County Detention Center.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
At least three years of direct counseling experience, with one year in addictions counseling.
Must acquire and maintain required certification/licensure from the State of South Carolina within three years of the hire date
Licensed social worker, addiction or professional counselor preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Knowledge of DSM-5 and ASAM-PPC3.
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check before hiring. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation. Beaufort County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensure as a social worker or addiction or professional counselor.
Ability to speak/understand Spanish.
Salary: $25.00 per hour
