Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs functions as a team and recovery support, utilizing the pillars of Peer Recovery Support Services in emergency room setting.
Completes AUDIT/DAST screenings.
Works collaboratively in a fast-paced emergency room setting during peak hours, which may involve evening and weekend work.
Connects patients to community resources and provides one-to-one peer advocacy and other support.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Two years of recovery from a substance use disorder with current participation in mutual ("self") help program.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong technology skills (computer and use of spreadsheets).
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Peer Recovery Support Specialist or Recovery Coach certification.
Salary: $16.66 per hour (depending on qualifications)
