Description
This training is required by DAODAS for all organizations receiving State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant funds.
DAY 1 - Ideology and Fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
This session will serve as a review of the ideology and fundamental skills of CBT. It is intended for supervisors. Ways to include CBT language in basic documentation will also be noted.
DAY 2 - Tools for CBT Validity and Supervision
This session will focus on fidelity related to CBT. The emphasis of this session will be on recognizing the skills and techniques referenced on Day 1 and evaluating them considering CBT standards. The intention is to develop more qualitative skills versus simply quantitative instances of a skill occurring, and to introduce tools for monitoring CBT. Examples and role-plays may be used as a part of this session.
DAY 3 - Deliberate Practice and CBT Skill-Building
This session will consist of enhancing skills via supervision and exploring documentation of CBT. The emphasis for this session will be on cultivating CBT skills in supervisees, documenting supervision, and incorporating CBT into supervision plans. In particular, this session will introduce deliberate practice methodology and will emphasize its application to both clinical and documentation skills.
