Job Description:
Provides coordination and implementation of the Strategic Prevention Framework, including the goals and objectives determined in this process, under the direction of the agency's Executive Director.

Job Responsibilities:
• Implements and coordinates the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) which entails comprehensive community-level assessment, capacity building, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborates with coalition members and coordinates substance abuse prevention activities of agencies, groups, and individuals to meet identified needs.
• Maintains relationships with key personnel in local agencies and institutions that impact prevention programs and strategies; seeks to parallel prevention organizations and programs of interest and establish contacts to enhance coordination of activities.
• Conducts at least eight community coalition meetings and encourages participation in community coalitions.
• Conducts at least one school-based program per year if deemed necessary.
• Conducts environmental strategies as identified in the SPF process.
• Assists in developing and delivering educational outreach presentations as needed at schools and within the community.
• Provides support and assistance to all prevention programs and initiatives as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Human Services or a related field.
• Experience in coordination of programs or projects, group facilitation, public speaking, and strategic planning.
• Maintains or is able to obtain certification by the S.C. Association of Prevention Professionals and Advocates within 36 months of becoming in-process for prevention certification.
• Willingness to participate in appropriate training to ensure enhancement of knowledge involving alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use and prevention, implementation, assessment, and the evaluation process.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong written skills.
• Experience in intra- and inter-agency coordination and dealing with alcohol and other drug issues.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
